Of course we also service and repair: Sun; Cisco; HP; Compaq; Acer; IBM; Dell and most any other brand available on the market. We repair Desktops, Servers and Laptops, frequently at a component level, meaning that we've been able to save numerous computers from the dumpster because we're the only people in the Twin Harbors with the ability to perform component level repairs. Computer Consulting, Repair, Maintenance and Installation We are willing and able to consult with you regarding the issues you're facing with your computer and help you find useful solutions to the problems you've encountered. Looking to upgrade your computer, or an entire office? We can help you make good choices. BECAUSE WE DON'T SELL COMPUTERS, we don't have to compete with ourselves in giving you the best advice available. Too many other vendors are motivated by their desire to sell you new equipment, frequently resulting in poor advice to their customers. Usually, we point you to a place where you can buy your hardware for the same price we'd pay, meaning that YOU get to put the savings of the markup right back in your pocket. Of course, if you're looking for a total turn-key solution, we're more than happy to accommodate your needs. Computer Networking Solutions including On-Site and Off-Site Backup, VPN and Mobile Networking In addition to designing, building and maintaining your network, we can provide a host of home-to-office and mobile-to-office solutions to keep you connected to your office network. Virtual Private Networking, On-Site and Off-Site backups and other efficient solutions are only a phone call away. Of course we strongly encourage an automated backup system and can assist you in ensuring that your files are backed up in a variety of ways to ensure business continuity in the event of a digital disaster. Additional Items of Note We are liberal in our guarantee policies. We operate based on the "Golden Rule Principle" -- Treat others as you would prefer to be treated! In short, if you bring a piece of equipment in for repair, take it back and it fails a few days later, we don't hand you a new bill for our labor -- clearly there was something more going on than we'd originally anticipated, or a part may have been unduly stressed as a result of the original problem. Why should you have to pay again for that repair? It seems that our competitors see this differently, but it isn't how we do business. Of course, you'll pay for the new parts required, but the labor's on us. Recent Projects Completed June, 2008. Wrote software to grab information from the APRS data-stream and convert it to spoken language to provide informational alerts via the local repeater system for amateur radio operators. This provides a method of monitoring voltage, temperature, AC power status, antenna status and building alarm status at distant/remote sites. Work performed as part of our public-service effort in consultation with the electronics and radio departments. Completed April 2008. In consultation with the electronics department, repaired and programmed a speed-tracking sign for a local municipality school district. The signs were intended to warn approach drivers to slow down by displaying their speed. Software used to control the signs was unique and problematic in the programming, but we were able to sort it out and get the system running to specification. November, 2007 saw the completion of a forensics project for a corporate entity. The company was attempting to answer a simple question: Were employees engaged in illegal behavior using company resources? We were retained to conduct a low-key forensics examination of the employee's desktop and laptop computers, as well as files retained on the corporate fileserver and website. During late-night visits to the corporations office, we worked in conjunction with the firm's IT, HR and PR departments to image the hard drives of the employee's computers, as well as examining the server files and logs. Those materials were cataloged and inspected before providing a final report to the company. September, 2007. Completed design work for a new website for Westside Communications, including a custom programming interface using a combination of PHP and Perl to provide a web-to-pager internet gateway for external customers needing to send an alphanumeric message in Grays Harbor and the surrounding areas. Representative Internet Design Clients and Projects Puget.NET is our hosting entity for providing a wide-range of high-speed internet solutions to our customers. In addition to hosting solutions, we provide extensive in-house design and programming for the web (and print, too!) Westside Communications The client wanted a simple, clean, elegant design for their website, in addition to a method for their clients to receive paging messages via a web interface. Law Offices of David S. Vogel This client wanted two distinctly different websites for the two different portions of his law firm: Personal Injury and DUI representation. We built two sites with a significant eye toward promoting the sites through external resources (Google, Ask.com and Yahoo promotional programs.) This required extensive data management efforts to keep the sites fresh and routinely indexed by the search engines. Search engine optimization is a key part of this site and is performed on a routine basis. Roger Saux Health Center The Quinault Indian Nation's health center wanted a website which would serve two purposes: Provide information for tribal members and staff; provide training solutions and useful data for internal staff. A database-driven site was constructed which provided secure access for staff members, as well as managed informational resources. Previously identified staff members are able to provide updates, informational messages and useful information to members and staff alike. |
